The band formed in 1986 with vocalist Robert Kampf, although the group swapped Kampf shortly after the release of the their first full-length 'History Of Hate' for new vocalist Andreas Henschel in 1988 as the former became head of record label Century Media. In addition, the band was the first European signing that took place at Century Media. In fact, Waldemar Sorychta was Despair's producer, so both Carsten Otterbach (Morgoth) and Robert Kampf had the idea that he would be a great producer for other bands as well. And so he did, and his first album outside Despair was Unleashed's 'Where No Life Dwells'. Shortly after the release, the original album cover was changed to a different one for unknown reasons.The CD version was released with different artwork in Europe and the USA...

Flokka Kur is a collaboration work by Finnish Uton and Argentinan Anla Courtis. Started from the noisy mystical drones of Uton and after continued by Anla's manipulations & some extra noise. Anla Courtis Anla Courtis was born in 1972 in Buenos Aires , Argentina . He was a founder member of Reynols. He has more than 200 solo releases and collaborations. His music always has strong experimental sense and usually based on high-skilled techniques of prepared sound, tape manipulations, processing of field recordings, live electronics, objects, cymbals, synthesizers, computer tools, playing traditional (both acoustic and electric) instruments as well as self-built, strange and unusual instruments (eg. unstringed guitar). UTON Jani Hirvonen aka Uton is a Finnish artist born in 1979. Uton’s music is a mix of many genres, including elements from drone, avant-noise, free-improv, psychedelia, ambient, tape-music, musique concre´te etc. Sometimes wondering in the silent dark semi-acoustic mysteries, and in the next day creating noisy wall of sound with outer space echoes and alien atmospheres.

It is a work of the Tokyo-based voice performer and pianist, Keiko Higuchi, and the Rome/Berlin-based sound artist, Cris X. Lost and coming into a cave, the breathing of each other can be heard in obscurity. The found scarlet "primodia" in the unlit world is icy cold yet hot. Like a burning coal concealed with care, the calm pathos, however, sealed in their stirring sound, are going to "melt". Keiko Higuchi Keiko Higuchi is a vocalist, pianist, performer residing in Japan. She has started out playing improvisation when she was in USA with a band named "Saturnalia". After she came back to Japan in 1998, she has made some tours with the butoh dancer, Imre Thormann and the cellist, Yasumune Morishige, and also have worked with various musicians and groups. Her work is not only limited to her improv. vocal work, but she also works as a singer with the pianist, shin-ichiro kanda, where she does more of a "conventional" way of singing, her solo piano/vocal work, and as a group/ unit. As an improviser, she has performed with many musicians / groups in and out of Japan. CRIS X Cristiano Luciani was born in Rome, Italy, in the 1976. He is a sound and visual artist and he works and lives in Rome (Italy) and Berlin (Germany). Cris X’s solo project exploring the synthesis of composition and improvisation and Its music moving from electronics and noise to expressionist ambient and musique concrète. He composed and performed music for theatre productions, contemporary ballet and live film scorings, along with the soundtracks of his own video production. His visual and sound artwork has been exhibited in different contexts and festivals throughout Europe, United Kingdom, Japan, China and South America. He has collaborated and played with musicians and artists from different cultures and art scenes as Merzbow/Masami Akita, KK Null/Kazuyuki Kishino, MB/Maurizio Bianchi, Phil Minton, Tristan Horsinger, Sachiko, Michiko Hirayama, Hamayoko/Yoko Higashi, Gene Coleman, Eugene Chadbourne, Torturing nurse among others. In the 2010 he created the experimental label CX Records which concentrates on the release and publishing of his own musical/video works and collaborations.

This is the live recorded duo set of Junko, a distinct vocalist and voice performer from "HIJOKAIDAN", and Sachiko who also utilizes voice to develop her particular sounds. Being so unique as that Junko's one-of-a-kind screaming leaves any unwanted elements what-so-ever, Sachiko applies her voice as a generator with delay and fuzz to fortify the space and resonate that of Junko's. Intermingling noise and drone, their sudden sounds weave and interwine and ultimately integrate. It seems as their expressions are bipolar, yet this is the world of a rare female sound that may lead you even to a sphere beyond what's brought to your ears. Junko A vocalist, known as a screamer of the ultimate state of rock, NOISE, band "HIJOKAIDAN". The intensity of her scream is unsurpassable and so unique. Recently, her work, aside from "HIJOKAIDAN", includes "DFH-M3" with Mayuko Hino(c.c.c.c.), an Europe tour with Michel Henritzi (fr), and also her solo and collaborations. Sachiko She has started her solo projects with her voice while playing as a bassist for those important figures for Tokyo underground psychedelic scene in the 90s, "KOSOKUYA" and "OVERHANG PARTY" . Her voice has produced ritualistic drone and vocal work focused mainly on psychedelic music. After releasing her first album in 2006, she has played at "INSTAL", the underground festival in Glasgow, England, and made an European tour with OVERHANG PARTY. She has played at "Sonic Protest" festival in France in her European tour in 2011. She has been making many collaborations with the foreign musicians recent years.

When you ask Mat3r Dolorosa to describe his album, in one sentence would be “concise and enigmatic” which falls to “In a Noisy Blast is born a road to Light” It seems like sibylline however everything is there. In his assumed but humble reference as Milton and his Lost’s Paradise first, he evokes the long way as much as the origin, the Creation. Encounters of journeys and figures as like: the one of Human and his chaotic achievement, or Lucifer, Light angel dismissed to the abyss. In the end, who is the real Son of light?
As for “Noisy Blast”, it’s a creative blast of air as much as an elimination. Understanding is deconstructing, erasing the subterfuges, the misleading, the superfluous, the parasites to reach the truth. This strong blast of air is also a research, a comprehension quest, a meaning. Finding his way through the darkness, and understanding his own long way to connect the separate elements is how he reaches for a global vision. The desired thematic by the artist as architect of civil life and the design (of the music as the cover) take on his full meaning.
