GREAT BRINGER OF NIGHT LP

Band:COFFINWORM
Album:GREAT BRINGER OF NIGHT LP
Label:FLENSER
Format:VINYL LP
Genre:Black Metal

Flenser is pleased to be dragging this filthy gem, GREAT BRINGER OF NIGHT, out into the sunlight to give it the treatment it so richly deserves. This deluxe version will include two additional unreleased tracks (five total) from the original demo recording sessions in all their raw glory, and comes graced with the gorgeous artwork of Bryan Proteau and a finely-tuned mastering job from James Plotkin. Sludge, tortured doom, snarling black metal, knuckle-dragging death metal and a few handfuls of crustedover punk meld together into one of the nastiest, most misanthropic, most wonderfully ugly albums you’ll ever hear, and now, you’ll finally be able to experience it on coal black vinyl - heavy as black tar, addictive as black tar heroin.

For fans of Burning Witch, EyeHateGod, Noothgrush and Corrupted

Latest full length album now out on Profound Lore Records

I`M GONE

Band:OMAR AND THE HOWLERS
Album:I`M GONE
Label:BURNSIDE
Format:CD
Genre:Blues

This is Omar Dykes’ 50th anniversary CD and the first Omar & the Howlers release with new material since Boogie Man in 2004. With a recorded history of over 20 titles, this is the first release on Omar’s own Big Guitar Music label, with more planned from this still active 21st century bluesman. Omar’s diverse musical roots are show-cased on each track, with all songs being written by Dykes except I’m Mad Again by John Lee Hooker. The Howlers include Wes Starr and Bruce Jones who have been playing with Omar since Big Leg Beat (1980) as well as Mike Buck, Ronnie James, and smokin’ guitar from Casper Rawls and Derek O’Brien. Omar says, “I wanted to put out a cd with rockabilly, country, and everything I like on it--- genres of music that I grew up with.” Fans have been waiting eight years for a new Omar & the Howlers CD and finally, the wait is over. I’m Gone delivers everything they’ve been waiting for and more!

"Omar puts his soul into this stuff, and you can feel it. It’s raw and electric blues; mean and evil, bad and nasty. Get yourself some. You’ll be glad you did" – No Depression

Band:BOSSE DE NAGE
Album:111
Label:Profound Lore
Format:CD
Genre:Black Metal

Not much is really known from Bay Area enigma BOSSE-DE-NAGE since the band rarely play live, don’t really disclose their identities, nor do they do they take interest or partake in promotional activities such as interviews and promotional photos. Nonetheless, the four-piece do have a solid and distinct repertoire at their disposal. Their initial demo (which was actually released by Aesop Dekker of Agalloch/Worm Ouroboros/Ludirca fame) and their two preceding albums (namely “I” and “II”, incidentally released by Flenser Records) prior to “III” would create an impression within the underground, the band fusing a vitriolic mix of indie rock, post-punk, and minimalist black metal. Almost coming across like the black metal version of the legendary band Slint. Overall “III” presents the band’s strongest and most introspective and sophisticated material to date.

BOSSE-DE-NAGE’s third album ‘III” is probably one of the most powerful collisions between indie rock and black metal you’ll hear this year. - For fans of Ludicra, Deafheaven, Liturgy, and Slint.

OF BABALON

Band:THE HOWLING WIND
Album:OF BABALON
Label:Profound Lore
Format:CD
Genre:Black Metal

Ryan Lipynsky has always been considered (in underground circles) as one of the most accomplished and underrated visionaries in the underground of the American extreme music scene. With THRALLDOM he helped define and shape a particular era that became known as U.S. Black Metal and with UNEARTHLY TRANCE, he helped define a new age of avant-blackened doom by forging one of the scene’s mightiest entities. Lipynsky’s other venture, THE HOWLING WIND, initially continued where Thralldom left off where Lipynsky, along with Tim Parasitic (also of ALDEBARAN fame), further explored and expanded his black metal repertoire by taking it to more virulent territory. With “Of Babalon”, the third and most vital album THE HOWLING WIND will unleash, Lipynsky and Parasitic have not only delivered the deadliest HOWLING WIND album yet (once again recorded by Colin Marston of KRALLICE, GORGUTS, DYSRHYTHMIA etc. in the Thousand Caves), but in this current age where the lines have been blurred as to what really becomes defined and recognized as the black metal movement in America, THE HOWLING WIND have delivered a fist-in-the-face genuine black metal album that shall bring realization to the true essence of the genre on American ground. With an aesthetic where the music, and just as importantly the lyrics, and themes reflect the unrelenting chaos and spiritual force that is THE HOWLING WIND, “Of Babalon” will once again prove Lipynsky as one of America’s most important underground musicians today.

THE HOWLING WIND’s only other member is Tim Parasitic who also helms American doom metal giants ALDEBARAN

With “Of Babalon”, THE HOWLING WIND will establish themselves as one of the most important black metal bands in the U.S. today. Black metal in its most genuine and primal form that opposes this “new wave” of American black metal currently plaguing the scene

COMA WAERING

Band:THE ANGELIC PROCESS
Album:COMA WAERING
Label:BURNING WORLD
Format:CD
Genre:Stoner/Doom/Occult/Sludge Metal

With a sound that fuses the layered guitar drone of MY BLOOD VALENTINE, the epic sound and tribal thump of NEUROSIS, the emotional bloodletting of JARBOE/SWANS, and complex, yet fluidly shifting time signatures, THE ANGELIC PROCESS have forged new musical ground and over the course of numerous on labels all over the world, have refined and defined a sound that one person described as "the sound my soul makes". THE ANGELIC PROCESS live is no less as intense. Blasting noise, complex melodies, droning guitar resonance, rippling bass, tom‐heavy tribal drums, and hauntingly emotional vocals collide to create violently ambient songs that have a definite shape and progression, but envelope the audience in warm, bombastic soundscapes.

New artwork by Mories of Gnaw Their Tongues on 6‐panel digipack • Re‐issue of the cd that came out on Paradigms Records in 2006

OPEN YOUR EYES

Band:YES
Album:OPEN YOUR EYES
Label:SIREENA
Format:VINYL LP
Genre:Prog Rock

“Open Your Eyes” is the seventeenth studio album by progressive rock band YES, originally released in 1997. Together with the album “Magnification” from 2001 it was never released on vinyl before. Up to now - Sireena Records will publish both the albums in this year. On 180 Gram vinyl, in gatefold cover, as double album. A Must – not only for the YES fans all over the world! In 1997 Chris Squire and Billy Sherwood had been working on a project together. Jon Anderson became interested and the music became a full-fledged YES project. The result was “Open Your Eyes”, one of the best, and perhaps the most sophisticated of the YES albums – a selection of catchy tunes and interesting themes. It is a quite enjoyable set of songs with the classic yes style and a modern sound. A bridge between the progressive times of “Closer to the Edge” and the modern tracks of “90 125”. In every case “Open Your Eyes” became a typical YES album.

Now on vinyl for the very first time! A world premiere!.
