DEATHEVOKATION (RE-RELEASE)

Band:REVEL IN FLESH
Album:DEATHEVOKATION (RE-RELEASE)
Label:WAR ANTHEM
Format:CD
Genre:Death Metal

“This album basically marks the very beginning of our crusade under the banner of REVEL IN FLESH. Many riffs and song fragments date back to my pervious band Immortal Rites. Obsessed by the idea of creating a recording deeply rooted in the vibes of the early 90ies European Death Metal scene “Deathevokation” become one of those albums totally done with a sort of gut feeling! Maggesson produced the album and during the process of 4 months we’ve created as a duo what is today known as REVEL INFLESH’s debut album! The mastering was done by Dan Swanö at UNISOUND studio and it was the very first time we’ve worked with our long lasting partner Juanjo Castellano on artwork duties. Rising out of nowhere this was the right album that came out at the right time when this new wave of German Death Metal was rising. It marks the birth of our Deathkult!” / Haubersson (RIF)

MANIFESTED DARKNESS (RE-RELEASE)

Band:REVEL IN FLESH
Album:MANIFESTED DARKNESS (RE-RELEASE)
Label:WAR ANTHEM
Format:CD
Genre:Death Metal

“The band became a five piece after “Deathevokation” and by collecting some live experience we went straight over into the songwriting and recording process of our second strike. “Manifested darkness” basically links the old school vibes from the debut with the more melodic elements that became a sort of trademark on our releases to follow. The titletrack and the outstanding “Rotting in the void” brought some sort of fresh vibe to the REVEL IN FLESH arsenal. Furthermore it was the first album on which Dan Swanö got the job for the mix, too. The production belongs to our most brutal ones up to date. “Manifested Darkness” had a little bit the stigma of being a sort of lost album in our catalogue since it was barely promoted during the release periode, so here’s the second chance for these recordings to be unveiled in a more proper way!” / Haubersson (RIF)
