SOUNDTRACK FOR THE VOICES IN MY HEAD VOLUME TWO

Band:CELLDWELLER
Album:SOUNDTRACK FOR THE VOICES IN MY HEAD VOLUME TWO
Label:FIXT
Format:CD
Genre:Electro Dub / Dubstep/Grime/Hip Hop

Soundtrack for the Voices in my Head Vol. 2 both meets and transcends the expectations placed on the followup to Celldweller's first volume of instrumental soundtrack material. Everything you loved about Celldweller is still here - pounding riffs, intricate electronics, flourishes of orchestral strings - but new elements now expand the scope of Celldweller's instrumental ouevre. Dubstep-inspired bass-play, flirtations with Moohmbaton and progressive metal, and several shades of ambient experimentation round out the diversity of sounds here. Soundtrack for the Voices in my Head Vol. 2 is primed to continue Celldweller's domination of film, television and video game trailers with unforgettable original music.

ANTISLEEP VOLUME 2

Band:BLUE STAHLI
Album:ANTISLEEP VOLUME 2
Label:FIXT
Format:CD
Genre:Dance/Electronica

So just what in the hell is Antisleep Vol. 02? Much like Vol. 01 it's a collection of tracks that I wrote for film and TV so you can hear Blue Stahli stomping through every possible form of media. Antisleep is a bit different than the vocal based self-titled album not only because it is largely instrumental, but because there are ZERO genre-restrictions, allowing me to flail wildly from heavy guitar-driven rock'n'roll to funkyass breakbeats to full on electro to glitzy Vegas action to a bit of punky stuff. Antisleep Vol. 02 is definitely a more upbeat affair and contains a nearly lethal dose of The Funk”. - Bret [Blue Stahli]

ANTISLEEP VOL 01

Band:BLUE STAHLI
Album:ANTISLEEP VOL 01
Label:FIXT
Format:CD
Genre:Dance/Electronica

After a promising debut artist single, "Kill Me Every Time", Blue Stahli wrote a handful of short but powerful instrumental cuts geared for Film/TV/Video Game licensing. It was a stretching of limbs and a cracking of knuckles, so to speak, before Stahli turned his attention back to creating a proper artist debut album. Antisleep Vol. 01 collects 18 of those eclectic, high-energy production tracks and proves that this is an artist who can appropriate any genre that wanders across his path - from scorching alternative rock to dancy electro to funky breaks.

TROJANDROPPER

Band:NEIL CAMPBELL AND ROBERT HORTON
Album:TROJANDROPPER
Label:ZUM
Format:VINYL LP
Genre:Drone/Ambient

Neil Campbell is known for his Astral Social Club solo project and as a member of Vibracathedral Orchestra and numerous collaborations spanning two decades. Robert Horton got his start in the San Francisco punk-noise act in 1979 and spent most of the ‘90s in hibernation doing home recordings. Horton returned in the ‘00s with a slew of releases, including collaborations with Tom Carter, Loren Chasse, and members of Yellow Swans.

Although Campbell and Horton have never met in person, they met virtually on a mailing list and set out to make a disco record via post. They went wildly off the mark of disco into a stranger, unforeseen terrain. "It was a good idea," writes Campbell, "but you're also correct to draw attention to the missing of original target, which I really like - nothing better than the happy accident." Horton continues, "collaborations are about being surprised and this one did that often. Just when I thought I knew where it was going it went somewhere else." They produce organic, almost crystalline drones with off kilter beat patterns and lopsided techno.

“Neil Campbell is so affable and self-effacing, he’d probably wince if you called him one of the most important experimental musicians of the last 20 years. But you’d be right…Campbell has made vital work that consistently challenges classification and upends expectation.” – Marc Masters, Pitchfork

LTD VINYL LP.

LOSS

Band:GERM
Album:LOSS
Label:Eisenwald
Format:CD
Genre:Black Metal

Following the critically acclaimed debut album ‘Wish’, that got a massive positive press around the world for its extraordinary character, now comes 6 new songs from Germ, the solo project of Tim (AUSTERE, GREY WATERS, ex-WOODS OF DESOLATION, ex-NAZXUL,). With a running time of over 36 minutes, ‘Loss’ takes you on a trip from the very first notes. At once a continuation of the sound Tim created on the debut album, as well as a giant leap forward, ‘Loss’ means the next chapter in the musical evolution of Germ !

“This is the sound Black Metal unbound.” THE METALOBSERVER

GERM is the solo project of Tim (Austere, Grey Waters, ex-Nazxul) and is everything fans of an emotive style of heavy music could have hoped for ! Germ was conceived by Tim as early as 2003. The idea behind Germ was to create something that not only combined the Atmospheric Black Metal and Rock, Tim has become known for with his love of Classical, Pop and Electronic styles of music, but to create an image and visual aspect to accompany the music. In 2006 one track from the unpublished EP, „Raving Mad With Sadness“, was uploaded to Myspace, and to this day gains considerable praise. This early song shows glimpses of what was to come, featuring an extended electronic breakdown and clean vocals mixed with Tims hellish shrieks. After almost 3 years of inactivity, where the focus was on other projects, Tim entered SLS studios in October 2009 to begin tracking for what was to become the debut full length Germ album but it wasnt until september 2011 till the album could be finally completed and finally release through Eisenwald in May 2012.

ON THE SEVENTH DAY GOD CREATED MASTER

Band:MASTER
Album:ON THE SEVENTH DAY GOD CREATED MASTER
Label:DOOMENTIA
Format:VINYL LP WITH 7"
Genre:Death Metal

In the middle of the now quite epic discography of MASTER, ‘On The Seventh Day, God Created… Master’ always stood out like some kind of bizarre sore thumb. Released in 1991 at the height of the death-metal popularity and recorded at the then mandatory Morrisound studios in Florida with of course Mr Scott Burns seated the producer’s chair, this was meant to be the band ‘breakthrough’ album. But as usual with Paul Speckmann and co.s, fate intervened and this wasn’t meant to be, even though if in the end, it sold more than 25,000 copies in its first year alone. It nevertheless remains a favourite among fans, not only because it features the track “Heathen” but also because it is the band only recording with Paul Masdival from CYNIC (who was barely twenty years old back then) on guitar, who was called upon at the 11th after former six-stringer Jim Martinelli was fired by their manager only to days after arriving in Florida! It also sees John Tardy from OBITUARY guesting on two tracks plus former one time MORBID ANGEL bass player John Ortega doing leads on “Whose Left To Decide” and is overall maybe the closest MASTER had ever been to become a full-on death-metal machine. But by the time Speckmann had hired two new members and got set to record its follow-up ‘Collection Of Souls’, their sound had once again shifted to a much more in-your-face and punkish sound. But that’s another story… Anyway, besides the usual classy DOOMENTIA treatment (gatefold cover, hardcover), the one thing that most likely get all diehard fans to salivate here are the three extra tracks, pressed on a separate 7 inches glued to the inside jacket of this reissue. Known among tapetraders as the ‘1991 demo’, those songs were recorded in Chicago prior to the album, to see how the new songs sounded when performed by the ‘Speckmann project’ line-up, with Aaron Nicklas on drums and Jim Martinelli on guitar. An addition that makes this reissue even more mandatory and for once, not only for MASTER fans but for connaisseurs of early 90’s death-metal as well.

Limited edition LP of 500 copies only - Bonus 7" EP - Casewrapped gatefold jacket with glued-in 7EP jacket.

AZ PRIJDE CAS

Band:LAHAR
Album:AZ PRIJDE CAS
Label:DOOMENTIA
Format:VINYL LP
Genre:Thrash/Crossover Metal

Ltd one-sided 12! MLP w/silkscreening on the B-side / printed insert.

Yeah, yeah, we still can understand a bloody word of what those Czech bastards in LAHAR are sayin’. But fear not boys and girls as what matters the most here, the MUSIC, hasn’t changed a bit since last year’s second full-length ‘Umeni Strachu’ (‘The Art Of Fear’). As a matter of fact, this brand new four tracks EP called ‘Až přijde čas’ might even faster and meaner that its predecessor! Now entering its tenth year as a band, still featuring two members of RADIOLOKATOR and still loyal to the manic sound of the late 80’s crossover and thrash scene, this is another proof that LAHAR simply don’t take ‘no’ for an answer. Recorded last winter in Hellsound studio and once again adorned with a splendid and apocalyptic artwork by Andrei Bouzikov, this one-sided 12 inches EP with a fantastic looking silkscreening on the B-side is another not-to-be-missed release by the European answer to MUNICIPAL WASTE!
