VEDDESTA

Band:PONAMERO SUNDOWN
Album:VEDDESTA
Label:Transubstans
Format:CD
Genre:Stoner/Doom/Occult/Sludge Metal

So, after a couple of years of silence Ponamero Sundown is finally back. We welcome you all to Veddesta, our brand new album. The plan behind the album was trying to renew ourselves both musically and soundwise but also working around the vinyl concept. There might be one or two new paths taken but mostly it's business as usuall, meaning loads of riffs and tons of groove. (Veddesta is by the way an industrial area in the northern parts of Stockholm where our home base was located for many years and where this album was written and mainly recorded.) This is a collaborational release between Transubstans Records and Ozium Records.

TRIGGER WARNING

Band:THE CHANCERS
Album:TRIGGER WARNING
Label:Unrest
Format:Vinyl LP
Genre:Reggae/Dub/Ska

The Chancers' fifth album, Trigger Warning, harnesses their unique blend of ska, soul and punk to a lyrical content which challenges and questions the verities of modern life. For anyone who ever wished the Sleaford Mods had the melodies to fill a Northern Soul dance floor, The Chancers deliver a searing commentary on sexual and political mores, backed by classic songwriting and melodic inventiveness. From the '60's flavoured rock of 'Blue Beat Attack' to the horn propelled grandeur of 'Without You', Trigger Warning runs the full gamut of musical influences while always sounding resolutely and unmistakably like The Chancers. You've never heard anything like this before. 180g Vinyl.

THEY ARE KILLING US

Band:LUMEN LAB
Album:THEY ARE KILLING US
Label:AAGOO RECORDS
Format:CD
Genre:Avantgarde/Electronic

Lumen lab is a project created by Diego Martínez in 2000. When he was fifteen, he surprised the electronic scene in Mexico (reserved then only to genres associated with dance music or late rave culture) with drum machines, secondhand synths and any device with which he could use to generate rhythmic noise and distortion. After two years of live performances linked to a post-industrial sound, Diego began to merge other influences such as glitch, the late nineties IDM and sounds associated to hip-hop and punk music. In 2004 the "enfant terrible of mexican electronic music" released his first album "Comiendo algodón en la pista de baile" (Eating cotton candy on the dance floor), published by the record label Abolipop in the boom of leftist electronic music in Mexico. It became one of the most important titles to strengthen a new scene more closely linked with experimentation. "They are killing us" has several collaborations, including his brother Israel Martinez, a recognized sound and interdisciplinary artist. Both codirect Abolipop and the digital publishing platform Suplex. For vocals, Chano collaborates. He was the voice of important bands of the crust and grindcore scene of Mexico in the nineties and the new millennium as Hydrophobia and Emphysema, besides collaborating with anarcho-punk bands like Fallas del Sistema. "They are killing us" is a convulsive and powerful work, the result of fifteen years of experimentation as Lumen lab and a social context that demands nothing less than a great energy and anger to get ahead, to preserve life, because they are killing us.

GURU CHILD

Band:TATUM RUSH
Album:GURU CHILD
Label:African Tape
Format:CD
Genre:Dance/Electronica

With the publication of “Guru child” Tatum Rush closes a chapter of his original songwriting coming of age. The chapter opened back in 2011 in a cement tower in the village of Brunnen, near the obscure Mahari- shi Mahesh Yogi temple, which was visited by personalities such as the Beatles and David Lynch. Björn Magnusson’s recording studio, filled with old clunky machines and an Auschwitz-coldness rising from the echo chambers, but a tropical heat in the music that was born. Cutting guitars, Motown grooves, and narratives of vacations in fifty-something shades of mingling and desire. The following sessions were scattered over a more extended period inspired by a long stay in a farm in a billionaire’s farm Brazil. The later songs are characterized by a flirtations with poetry and fantasies of luxury hotellerie, carnal projections, after-life reminiscences. The diversity of the songs and the sounds stand as a journey from analog to digital, from poetry to tabloids, from sincere fragility to cosmic confidence. This is first the first chapter...

ELVES RED SPRITES BLUE JETS

Band:INUTILI
Album:ELVES RED SPRITES BLUE JETS
Label:AAGOO RECORDS
Format:CD
Genre:AVANT/POST ROCK

Elves, red sprites, blue jets is the third full length album from Inutili. Emerging from the vibrant rock scene in Teramo, Italy they continue to change, without completely abandoning their peculiar character. In their new songs, the tracks are less dilated. Improvisation is channelled in a form closer to the classic song, but in practice every track is different. There are still passages of epic psychedelia that could and SHOULD go on forever but the real news is the addiction of the sinewy vocals, half-sung, half-grumbled. The vinyl version is a uniform work, it’s heavy and majestic ringing with energy. The CD version has six bonus songs that show the various ways that the band is testing new mutations. Elves, red sprites, blue jets is idiosyncratic, primal and euphoric and yet somehow manages to stay catchy.
