FIREWALL

Band:RAMSES
Album:FIREWALL
Label:SIREENA
Format:CD
Genre:Kraut / Space Rock

40 years RAMSES - this must be celebrated and what is better than with a new studio album! The work includes 13 songs, in which the whole spectrum of musical expressiveness of this band comes to bear. That means: Timeless progrock that's focused on rhythm, intricate riffs and melodies. In the orchestration there is plenty of phantastic guitar work as well as a strong impact from a heavily equipped keyboard section. Another significant aspect of Tribute are the time-critical lyrics.

One of many highlights is certainly the long-awaited ( by many fans and played in numerous concerts ) classic "Look @ your neighbor", which is represented in two versions: One cut is recorded live at Balve cave and another version as a bonus track in a previously recorded version with the former singer Herbert Natho.

RAMSES are real Krautrock icons, their early albums "La Leyla"(1976) and "Eternity Rise" (1978) are still important, this brand new album shows the band as an outstanding part within the progressive spectrum.

LOOPINGS

Band:CINEMA
Album:LOOPINGS
Label:SIREENA
Format:CD
Genre:Kraut / Space Rock

CINEMA is the current project of Jürgen "Pöngse" Krutzsch, who already was a wellknown Krautrock size with his band TIBET in the Seventies. The project name fits, because the titles of this album run like movies in the mind's eye of the listener.

Pöngse - supported by Brigitte Grafe and guitarist Benjamin Peiser - knows to take this electronic soundtrack every cold and to create an incredibly groovy and trancy melange, reminiscent in some moments of Pink Floyd, but also wakes associations with Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Mike Oldfield and Schiller. Each title tells you in advance what it is and what musical elements are used. African, oriental and rock rhythms, with organs, choirs, guitars - a plenty of synthesizers and sequencers. For mastering ex-Grobschnitt musician EROC was actually responsible. The result is a musical journey around the world through the digital sound world of the continents that is unparalleled!

HEAVY WITH ILLUSION

Band:RST and LENZ
Album:HEAVY WITH ILLUSION
Label:METAL POSTCARD
Format:CD
Genre:Drone/Ambient

THE SEVENTH ALBUM FROM NZ Experimental Guitarist Andrew Moon (RST) and first collaboration with Lenz lead singer of Shanghai band Goushen Interspersed with instrumental interludes the mood of the record constantly shifts. Familiar drone signatures appear but are re-contextualised by the human voice, heavy space stomping glam-doom riffs buoy spoken worded love-verses that soar as Lenz reaches for the cosmos in the rousing ‘Love’. Sung and spoken predominantly in her native tongue, Lenz’s songs offer a gorgeous counterpoint to Moon’s pulsing guitar modality, a potent meeting of musical minds that has reset the course for both artists as progenitors of the new transcendental music of the Pacific Rim.

TRAMA!

Band:JUGGERNAUT
Album:TRAMA!
Label:Subsound Records
Format:CD
Genre:METAL/POST ROCK

Juggernaut got assembled and began to move on its trinkets in the winter of 2006 in Roma. The first step was to evoke a powerful and deep sound to embody the language of metal, the violence of hardcore and a gothic imagery. In 2006 we recorded and self-produced an EP at Hombrelobo Studio in Roma: "Facial Sacrilege: Ballads by the Fireplace”. In December 2007 the blog Neuroprison selected a track from our EP to be included in the compilation “Stones From The Sky”, which had the ambition of representing the Italian post-hc scene at its best. 2009 saw the release of our debut album “…Where Mountains Walk”, also recorded at Hombrelobo and published by Subsound Records (italian label home for bands such as Mombu, Inferno Sci-Fi Grind’n’Roll, Lili Refrain, Zippo, Osso) and shared the stage with Today is the Day, Red Sparowes, A Storm of Light, Amenra, Ephel Duath, Jucifer, Minsk, Slowmotion Apocalypse, Stereochrist, and several bands from the experimental and extreme underground international scene. The road taken, however, is uneven, full of bizarre and unexpected catastrophic events: some pieces are lost and new ones are incorporated. With them on board the coordinates change: the music is now completely instrumental and while maintaining its threatening and visceral features it has developed a cinematic taste and a propensity to evoke grotesque and meditative scenarios. Despite the shocks the forceful artifact never completely ceased to exist: after a long time spent in the rehearsal room writing new music and some test concerts, we entered Hombrelobo Studio to produce our new album. “TRAMA!”

OSSO

Band:OSSO
Album:OSSO
Label:Subsound Records
Format:CD
Genre:Stoner/Doom/Occult/Sludge Metal

It was a dark and stormy night and that was how Eraldo Bernocchi and the brave and fearsome messengers of MoRkObOt decided to meet the next day. They met while eating, what else? So it was inevitable that, in the throes of the extraordinary consequences of digestion, the four shady characters found themselves in a recording studio pouring their gastric juices on a guitar (which might sound like a bass), two bass guitars (which might sound like two guitars) a drum kit (which might sound like a pocket calculator) and a lot of newfangled electronic equipment (those might sound like a drum kit, or not) mixed together to form a mass of shapeless, slimy, creepy blob named OSSO. Sludge that drips electronic that expels dub that crash grind that melt jelly neurons. Sound penetrates flesh. Die laughing, laugh dying.

RIYL: , Fantomas, Zu, Morkobot, Ufomammut, Obake, Neurosis, Primus...

HYPERACTIVE JERK

Band:dDASH
Album:HYPERACTIVE JERK
Label:TSUNAMI ADDICTION
Format:CD
Genre:Punk / Hardcore

Jb Hanak is back, oscillating between crazy indie-rock and mutant punk, to create a brand new direction in his own universe full of emotional vintage melodies, singular whisperings and truly agressive moments. An unique project that reminds us a fusion between Dinosaur Jr on helium or a '83 Beck during a LSD trip. An astonishing second wave of records after the mischievous « Alien Folk Trash » released in 2003 by Austrian record label Angelika Kohlermann / Mego.  

Sluggish and sumptuous, impetuous and nervous, his atmospheric rock quickly gives way to a cataclysmic post-hardcore brought back to life from 1991 garages. A melting-rock that gives birth to a deviant, poorly educated music from the Sub pop and Amphetamine Reptile first generations of followers.

SOLEIL

Band:AH VOIX BASS
Album:SOLEIL
Label:BESTE! UNTERHALTUNG
Format:CD
Genre:JAZZ/JAZZ ROCK

The French singer Dany Tollemer with her unique clear voice and Lutz J. Mays, bassist and composer from Nuremberg, have been found in 2013 at the suggestion of a friend musically. In its congenial interaction creates more than the sum of two musicians. The texts writes Dany Tollemer predominantly in French, sometimes in German or English. She interprets her poetry by her delicate beings with depth and fun, and paints, draws with her voice melodies, sometimes timid, quiet, sometimes determined and powerful. You can hear her smile!

Lutz J. Mays uses unconventional playing styles on different acoustic and electric bass instruments in order to bring mental images through his compositions in the outer world and matching color to text and mood, interpret and express. Moreover, percussion elements set fine accents. On their debut CD "soleil" they tell musical stories that move them, eg the story of the escape of a young African climbing with his hopes in a crowded refugee boat (Ado Africain), the dialog Dany's with their migraine (Migre haine).
