PRAXIS

Band:AETHYRICK
Album:PRAXIS
Label:SINISTER FLAME
Format:12" vinyl
Genre:Black Metal

Finnish Black Metal band Aethyrick does not venture into where no man has gone before, but rather comes from a place the modern mind has almost entirely forgotten. In temples under trees, by the light of the sacred stars, where the winds sing their songs… There lies the adytum built not by mortal hand, there dances the flame eternal. And the warmth of that divine fire gave birth to Aethyrick’s first full-length album “Praxis”.

FEAR THE ONE…THAT KILLS THE SOUL

Band:DIE MY DEMON
Album:FEAR THE ONE…THAT KILLS THE SOUL
Label:DEMONS RUN AMOK
Format:CD
Genre:HARDCORE

Die My Demon is a 90's East Coast style hardcore band from Dendermonde/Gent, Belgium; who started out as a side-project of DMD's 4-piece Sad Origin back in 1999. After recording a first demo and some local shows the band was put on hold. Some later in 2001 they picked up the gloves for what turned out to be a hell of a ride. Releasing an EP “Love The Game - Hate The Players”, a split EP with 50 Caliber and a re-release of all the earlier work “Still Lovin’ The Game” on Filled With Hate Records made them play countless crazy shows throughout Europe. In 2004 they signed to Genet Records for their only full length to date, “Smell The Rat”. Unfortunately, due to work, family and some internal struggles, the band called it quits, playing their last show in their hometown the 18th of March 2006. In 2008 a couple of successful reunion shows were done, playing great fests in Belgium & Germany with an extended line-up including several past & present members: Wes, Christophe, Wim, Ali, Hans, Serge and supported by Jochen (Crawlspace/Full Court Press) on guitar.

WHERE THE LIGHT ENDS

Band:KEITZER
Album:WHERE THE LIGHT ENDS
Label:FDA RECORDS
Format:CD
Genre:Death Metal

While it is not entirely wrong to still name Keitzer “the German Misery Index”, the band has ultimately established its very own niche with its latest effort. “Where the Light Ends” sees the quintet effortlessly blasting a way through death metal, hardcore and crust that rips your head off as rigorously as Christian Silva Chaco has expressed himself in his lyrics. Thus, the group’s proverbial magnificent seventh is an emotionally engaging affair throughout. Traditionally straight and fast passages get combined with a certain melodicism that points towards early 90s Scandinavia, yet Keitzer not once lose any of the gall that made them the force of nature they are on stage. No wonder this newfound finesse makes for some of the most catchy tracks in their whole catalogue.
