SOLAR LOVERS

Band:CELESTIAL SEASON
Album:SOLAR LOVERS
Label:BURNING WORLD RECORDS
Format:LP
Genre:STONER DOOM

SOLAR LOVERS REMASTERED WITH NEW ARTWORK. Dutch doom legends-turned-stoner rock riff-makers Celestial Season have reformed, and are on the eve of releasing the official follow-up to 1995 gem Solar Lovers via Burning World Records. Indeed, new album, The Secret Teachings, finds the Nijmegen-based septet reuniting with members from the doom era, meaning debut album Forever Scarlet Passion and Solar Lovers, without guitarist Robert Ruiters and violinist Maaike Aarts. But what Celestial Season fans get is an updated lineup Olly Smits moves over from bass to guitar and Elianne Anemaat joins on cello but with Stefan Ruiters (vocals), Jason Köhnen (drums), Lucas van Slegtenhorst (bass), and Pim van Zanen (guitars) leading the front end. Says Jason Köhnen: 25 years after the release of our classic Solar Lovers album we are incredibly proud to present you our forthcoming new album The Secret Teachings appearing on Burning World Records. We hope you enjoy the music as much as we enjoyed writing the album.

DIFFERENT HORIZONS

Band:STORM WARNING
Album:DIFFERENT HORIZONS
Label:LIGHTNIN FINGERS
Format:CD
Genre:BLUES ROCK

This is the 5th album from UK band Storm Warning which leans more towards rock than any of their previous albums. All tracks are written by the band and influenced a little by 70 s rock. However, the songs sound fresh and there s no doubting Storm Warning has an individual style and sound. Although Different Horizons is not strictly a concept album, there is a theme about change that runs through the album with soundscapes that wouldn t be out of place on a Pink Floyd album. Guitarist Bob Moore, who unfortunately passed away not long after the album was completed, plays incredible eloquent and flowing guitar lines to die for. For over 15 years Storm Warning has been a notable band on the UK live music scene having played most UK blues/rock festivals. TRACK LISTING 1. Horizons 2. Feeling Something 3. Stranger 4. Come On In 5. Tell The Truth 6. Call It Midlife 7. Can't Sleep For Dreaming 8. Long Road 9. Questions

THE CONSTANT SOUND

Band:CONSTANT SOUND, THE
Album:THE CONSTANT SOUND
Label:LYSERGIC SOUND
Format:LP
Genre:POP PSYCH

For more than fifty years, vinyl collectors and music archivists from around the world have speculated about this ultra-obscure twelve-song demo-only disc from the 1960’s: When was it pressed? Who were the musicians and the singers? Who produced this gem? What was the purpose of the record, especially considering the high talent level and the fact that it seemingly had never had a commercial release? No less an expert than the late Patrick Lundborg, one of the world’s leading experts on psychedelic culture and music and author of “The Acid Archives”, the ultimate guide to underground sounds from the 1960’s and 1970’s, called The Constant Sound demo disc "one of the Holy Grails of 1960’s sunshine pop and lyte psych," comparable to the the California sunshine style on the very rare Birmingham Sunday record, and added: "this is bound to blow the mind of any genre fan, as it delivers on all the key areas and has no obvious weaknesses." High praise from the psychedelic guru!
